Over the years we have inspected many different historic buildings across the length and breadth of Shetland.  This has become a particular area of expertise for our Engineers, who pride themselves in the comprehensive nature of our service.

This particular project came across our desks as the Church of Scotland looked to offload many of their local assets.  Such properties were ripe for conversion into residential dwellings, and we ended up visiting numerous kirks to offer our professional opinion on their condition and structural integrity.

For anyone considering the purchase of a historic building, please get in touch with us before committing to buy.  We have the in-house expertise to spot potentially costly problems and can provide full details of the required remedial works.  Don’t get caught out, and please don’t let romantic ideals cloud your judgement.  We are available to provide fair, impartial and sound professional advice which could prove to be invaluable.
